Project Description

The Uganda Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo is a significant Christian pilgrimage destination in Africa. It is situated in Kira Municipality, Wakiso District, in Central Uganda, approximately 15 kilometers (9.3 miles) northeast of Kampala City. The redevelopment project aimed to enhance its facilities and infrastructure to accommodate the growing number of visitors. The redevelopment involved Construction of Three Sitting Pavilions with a capacity of 25,000 people, an altar and bridges within the Martyrs Lake, and an Amphitheatre that sits 60,000 people.
